Here's Keith Elder's art for the story. I lost track of him years ago. His e-mail address doesn't work any more. He quite often saw inside my head. I miss him.
The line art below is by the talented Robert Knaus. I think he gets pretty close to the original concept of Gadget with some of these.

MEL DRAKE
This entry is from Mel Drake. That's three artists with very different (but always emotional) takes on the ring discovery scene. I hope to see more from Mel.
KEVIN SHARBAUGH
A fourth ring scene by another talented artist. Like I told Kevin, something about this one reminds me of Japanese woodcuts. So far there's been a ring of importance in every story I've written. Guess I've got myself a motif.
BRUCE TOMSETT
This artist tells me he was inspired by a scene from a John Wayne western. Reader "r49" informs me it was "The Three Godfathers". Whatever did it, the artist was obviously inspired. This looks like a mural to me. Whoever it was who mocked this on "Portal of Evil" can suck it.
This link leads to a scene Bruce did for chapter 23, so don't look if you haven't read that far!
The picture below, "Gadget's Night Terrors", was near-impossible to thumbnail, simply because thumbnails don't do it justice. Clicking on it will take you to a slightly larger version than is found in the chapter itself, because it deserves special treatment.
Bruce did me a great favor and illustrated a short one-page comic with a Christmas theme. Many of you have already seen it, but here's a link to it--if you've read most of the story, it's not as much of a shock. PG-13 for twisted humor.
