MOVIE TRAILER SOUND BOARD
Welcome, you sneaky devil, you. You've found the beginning stages of the MOVIE TRAILER SOUND BOARD, a fun free service of Animation-Writer.Com.
In the beginning, this will be decidedly low-tech and short on options. Tables (and HTML!) are likely not the ideal way to cobble this thing together, but as I learn more about web design this interface will likely get prettier.
A typical example:
[In a world]
[where chaos rules,]
[one man]
[has decided]
[not to take it]
[_any_ more...]
A better one:
[In a world]
[where chickens rule]
[with an iron claw,]
["buck buck buck BACAW!"]
[one man]
[has rediscovered]
[the secret]
[eleven _herbs_ and _spices..._]
Planned list of features so far, even if some seem obvious or nigh-impossible:
- Real-time playback (you click a line of trailer dialogue, it plays instantly)
- Multiple choices for each section of trailer dialogue (so you can mix and match a trailer)
- Memory function (remembers a series of selections and plays them back in sequence)
- Suggestion box for new lines of dialog to record
- Customizable dramatic pauses between soundbites
- Cliche movie trailer soundtrack music (with an on-off toggle). "Carmina Burana" for the win!
- Sound file export
By the way, if I'm re-inventing the wheel and there's a customizable template out there you think I might be able to squeeze some of this stuff into, please drop me a line at animwriter AT yahoo DOT com.
